Jehnae Jasmine Linkins is a lifetime resident of Indian Head, MD. She is a graduate of the first Historically Black College/University (HBCU), The Lincoln University; with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park.

An active volunteer in her school and community for many years, Jehnae believes of the importance of giving back and making a difference in the world around her. Through many of life’s challenges that she herself has experienced; she has found great comfort in advocating for Girls in STEM; her passion for education has parlayed her into volunteering for many educational focused programs that serve to empower young women in pursuing their educational endeavors. Within her community, Jehnae organized the first organ tissue donor drive at The Lincoln University, through Be The Match Bone Marrow Donation Program. She currently serves as the Co-advisor for the College of Southern Maryland’s Engineering club as well as Chapter Advisor for National Society of Black Engineers Jr chapter. In addition, she instructs the Engineer like a girl program. Jehnae volunteers with local Girl Scout Troops for girls to obtain their STEM Badges. Serves as President of University of Maryland’s Black Graduate Student Union that focuses on growth, development and advocating for educational success of minority students. She is an active member of the Southern Maryland Chain Chapter, The Links Incorporated.

In her Spare time, Jehnae sings in her church gospel choir, a member of the First State Symphonic Band where she plays drums in the percussion section, tutors’ students in physics and math, and mentors’ young women who are interested in STEM fields. Overall, Jehnae hopes to be a part of the movement to increase the number women in male dominated stem fields.

Sewing, knitting and crocheting
Jewelry making for her home-based business
Working on her 1984 Chevy El Camino
Spending time with her dog Roscoe
