Attah Jennifer Awazi is a 27 year final year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) student at the University of Jos, Nigeria, a young healthcare professional-in-training, community volunteer, public health advocate, founder PharmReach and emerging leader passionate about healthcare, youth empowerment and service to humanity.

Born, August 3rd,1999 and raised in Nassarawa Eggon, Nasarawa State, Jennifer began her education at Eggon Kyenkyen Nursery and Primary School and proceeded to St. Kizito Girls’ Secondary School, Duduguru, Lafia. She is the first child of a single mother of three, a twin with a younger brother and was raised within an extended family from a humble background. Her upbringing has shaped her resilience, empathy and determination to create opportunities beyond the limitations of her circumstances.

Her journey through Pharmacy school has been one of growth, perseverance and transformation. Despite financial challenges, academic setbacks, ASUU strikes, the disruption caused by COVID-19, insecurity and the broader realities confronting young Nigerians, Jennifer learned to rise from failure, rebuild her confidence and pursue academic excellence. These experiences have strengthened her belief that challenges can become catalysts for growth when met with courage, discipline and purpose.

Jennifer has consistently extended her passion beyond the classroom through service and community engagement. She has participated in the Pad a Girl, Prep a Boy Child outreach, contributed to the Wellness Relieve Initiative free medical outreach and worked with Girlified Sanitary Pad Limited, contributing to conversations around menstrual health and the empowerment of young people. She has also served as an AMR Club, University of Jos Chapter Steward and as a member of the SDG Committee and Assistant Team Lead for the PANS Goes to School project, where she contributed to health education, sustainable development and community awareness.

At the heart of Jennifer's story is a desire to use her education and experiences to serve, inspire and create impact. She believes that healthcare professionals have a responsibility not only to treat illness but also to educate communities, advocate for better health systems and help people make informed decisions about their wellbeing.

As she approaches the completion of her PharmD degree, Jennifer is particularly interested in the intersection of pharmacy, public health, pharmaceutical innovation and community impact. Her long-term aspiration is to contribute to the development of accessible, safe and affordable healthcare solutions while empowering young people especially girls to recognize their potential and pursue opportunities beyond the limitations of their circumstances.

Jennifer's journey is a testament to the power of resilience, education, service and purposeful growth. From a humble beginning to the threshold of becoming a Pharmacist, she continues to build a life defined not merely by what she has overcome, but by the lives she hopes to touch and the legacy she hopes to leave.
