Jennifer Kirkey has been teaching physics and astronomy for more than 30 years at community colleges in British Columbia, primarily at Douglas College in New Westminster, including the MSTE program for Elementary School Teachers. During this time she has been an active participant in Science World's Scientists in the Schools program doing outreach work in elementary schools all over the province. She never passes up a chance to share her love of the stars by being an active member of the local Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. She has presented at a number of professional development conferences and is passionate about hands-on learning to open up inquiring minds.
