I currently serve as the Social Emotional Learning Interventionist at Rogers Middle School in Affton, MO. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. I spent seven years as an elementary and middle school classroom teacher and teacher leader in a variety of school districts including Chicago Public Schools and Saint Louis Public Schools. Through all of my coaching and modeling experiences, I’ve noticed the key to success was the foundation of relationships and how they were being maintained. I saw a need to study Social and Emotional Learning Competencies while increasing my knowledge on adult learning theories. I began my Masters in Education degree specializing in Training and Performance Improvement with concentration in Adult Learning Theories. I have been fortunate to work with school leaders that trust my teaching ability and have allowed me to lead the work of Social and Emotional Learning in our buildings.
