Jessy has worked within the fiberart community in many roles, starting as a costume designer in her teens, and moving into art quilting after graduating from Hamline University with a degree in fine art. After years of working in other people's fabric stores she was finally able to open her own in 2016. Seams Sewing and Mercantile now has two locations in Mid-Michigan as well as being an authorized Bernina dealer. Following her multi-craftual passions Jessy stocks both fashion fabrics and quilt cotton and runs and education program focused on turning nervous newbies into sewing savants.
