Dr Joana Grah is a scientific associate at HeiCAD and responsible for continuing education programmes for all departments on the subjects of AI and data science as well as science communication. After studying mathematics at the University of Münster in Germany, she did her PhD on mathematical imaging tools in cancer research at the University of Cambridge, UK, and worked as a post-doc at The Alan Turing Institute in London, UK, and at the Graz University of Technology in Austria. She conducted research in the field of imaging and machine learning and also worked as a scientific consultant for digitalisation and AI for the Kunsthaus Graz.
