I've spent the better part of 25 years helping organizations figure out what to do with their data — long before "digital transformation" was a buzzword.
Today, that means connecting shop floors to the cloud, wiring up factories with real-time intelligence, and helping teams actually act on the data they've been collecting for years. My sweet spot is the messy middle: where OT meets IT, where legacy systems meet AI, and where strategy meets the floor.
At Deloitte, I work across industrial IoT, Unified Namespace architectures, AIOps, and edge-to-cloud design — usually for manufacturers who are serious about getting smarter. Before that: co-founded two startups, built IoT platforms at scale, led a 30-person dev team across three continents at IBM, and deployed solutions for everyone from railroads to water utilities to oil fields.
I've also written a few books along the way (8 so far — from portlets to industrial IoT), spoken at industry conferences across Europe, and hold a commercial drone pilot license in both the US and the EU, which frankly has nothing to do with my day job, but it's cool.
If you're wrestling with industrial data, smart manufacturing, AI adoption, or just trying to connect the shop floor to something useful — let's talk.
