Johan is a highly motivated and dedicated computer scientist with a diverse background in music, mathematics, and business. Born in Johannesburg, he excelled in school as a member of the school band and as a youth exchange student. He pursued his passion for music and mathematics by earning a Bachelor of Music, and a MSc in Computer Science.

Johan has a track record of success in both education and industry. In 2014, he founded a music school, where he helped students develop their musical talents. He then worked as a Business Development Manager, before becoming a Software Engineer.

In this role, he has been focussed on web technologies and hybrid mobile applications; as well as cloud computing.

In his free time, Johan enjoys reading, traveling, music, and trail running. He has also played in several bands.

Johan is passionate about computer science and is eager to explore the field in depth. His goal is to understand the deep, esoteric, and obscure details of how computers work.
