During the latter part of his military career, in 2001, John began his involvement in project management. Once he transitioned to the civilian world he focused on IT project management with an emphasis on best practice frameworks (ITIL) and lean management principles and techniques. In more recent endeavors of building out large scale implementations he has focused on Agile project management and trying to improve not only the processes he is implementing but also the people on the projects as well as himself through the agile journey. John is PMP and PMI-ACP certified and is currently the product owner for his software development program.
