Building and scaling the Cloud Native Continuum

My talk will explore the urgent need for scaling Cloud Native Continuum adoption, particularly with the rise of multi-cloud environments. I'll introduce Cloud Native principles and their relevance in modern computing. We'll cover architectural basics like microservices, containers, and Kubernetes. I'll highlight Infrastructure as Code's role and discuss CI/CD pipelines for rapid deployment. Addressing scalability and resilience, I'll explain ensuring high availability. We'll touch on observability, security, cultural shifts, and real-world success stories. Finally, we'll explore future trends in the cloud native continuum.

The rise of DOK

Kubernetes has become the de facto standard today for cloud-native development. The history of Kubernetes was always one of a stateless life. However, like most things, it is constantly evolving. Data on Kubernetes (DOK) has been a driving force with part of the evolution and today we are seeing the rise of DOK where the new future standard of Kubernetes will be a life of stateful. In this talk, I will talk about the new patterns we are seeing with DOK and how this will impact DevOps as it evolves further. We will explore the patterns of DOK and what this means for the Kubernetes eco-system.

Securing Kubernetes in a ever changing ecosystem

As the cloud has conquered the world, along with the adoption of Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies. This trend is creating organizations concerns over the security of their application containers as it changes the attack surface and the traditional application security approach has limited value. In this talk I will share thought leadership and real life examples on the prescribed best methods and technology in the ecosystem that are necessary to meet the constant changing needs of the business as we shift to a Container World.
