John Mellor-Crummey is a Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science at Rice University, Houston, Texas. He is PI of the HPCToolkit project, a co-recipient of the Edsger W. Dijkstra Prize in Distributed Computing for his work on scalable synchronization, a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery for contributions to parallel and high performance computing, and recipient of a 2024 Honor Award from the US Secretary of Energy as a member of the Exascale Computing Project leadership team.
