Joivon was born in San Bernardino CA. He grew up with a single mother in a high-crime and gang-infested neighborhood. Knowing he wanted to help people, just unsure of how he began a long academic career. He received his bachelor's in Psychology at Humboldt State University. After years of multiple social service jobs, he obtained a Master's in Health Education and Promotion from Walden University.

He completed three years of medical school and finished an Herbal Apprenticeship at Heart Stone in Ithaca, NY. He is currently studying Culinary Arts at Auguste Escoffier, with aspirations to obtain his Doctorate in Philosophy at Howard University.

Jovion is a world traveler and budding linguist who loves to spend time with his family. He is grateful for his adventurous wife, spunky daughter, and tranquil son, who are his motivation to bring a life of intentional vitality to himself and everyone else.
