Jon is a senior software developer with special focus on the Microsoft stack and Azure. He is a full-stack developer but since finishing the Manning book "Entity Framework Core in Action" (see http://bit.ly/2m8KRAZ) he finds himself mainly working on the backend of ASP.NET systems with Entity Framework (but he still likes React.js).
He has held senior technology management positions for many years but after a 21 year gap he came back to his first love of programming in 2009. He now spends most of his time programming, writing about what he has found and helping others find new ways to improve their programming.

Getting the best out of Entity Framework Core
REMOVED - MY WIFE POINTED OUT WE HAVE A HOLIDAY DURING OSLO 2020
Microsoft's Entity Framework Core (EF Core) library allows anyone who can write C# and LINQ to access a database - no need to write SQL. The problem is, are you getting the best out of EF Core?
In this session Jon will describe what is going on inside EF Core, because that will help you to write better database access code. This includes database querying, handling relationships, unit testing, and a tiny bit of Domain-Driven Design, plus looking at the changes brought in with EF Core 3.
This talk is suitable for developer who are already using EF Core and for people who are considering EF Core. Both will learn how EF Core works inside.
