Jonas' journey started in 1998 with a Linux CD as a portal to wonder and creativity. Since then he has been active in coding and the Open Source community: Powercoders (empowering refugees), Basler Linux User Group, CCC Basel, elected TYPO3 Expert Advisory Board member, CNCF Kubestronaut, Angular Meetup organizer, and founder of the Agentic Engineering Days Zurich. As an entrepreneur he built and sold several ventures, but his heart stayed with technology itself. Today he focuses on teaching and inspiring for Open Source and technology: 1200+ engineers trained in 100+ in-person trainings, with talks worldwide from Switzerland to New Zealand and Japan, known for fast-paced live-coding and live-hacking sessions.

KubeCapture: Audience Driven Capture the Flag Session
Dive into the vulnerabilities of Kubernetes with an engaging live hacking session, showcasing several attack vectors through Capture The Flag scenarios. This fast-paced and interactive presentation vividly demonstrates how misconfigurations can be exploited, revealing the crucial need for awareness and understanding of Kubernetes security. Witness and participate in real-world exploitation examples, by suggesting attacks and winning prices. Together we will attack the cluster of an "evil organisation" with a capturing storyline.
Presented at KCD Denmark 2024, KDC Porto 2024, KCD Zurich 2024
Agentic KubeCapture
In this fast-paced live hacking session, we attack a fictional “evil” organisation using an agentic workflow. Powered by state-of-the-art AI, the session demonstrates how AI can act as an active collaborator—planning, reasoning, and executing Capture the Flag-style exploits against Kubernetes misconfigurations. To make things even more engaging, we’ll throw in a few short quiz-style audience interactions.
Security starts with curiosity, and curiosity starts with fun. This session is designed to make you laugh, think, and walk away with the motivation to secure your own environments.
A funny adapted storyline, fresh vulnerabilities, new attack strategies, and a few baffling AI moments round off the talk.
Presented at KCD Suisse Romande 2025
Panel: Kubernetes for AI or AI for Kubernetes
As AI workloads reshape infrastructure and AI tools promise to manage our clusters, a critical question emerges: Are we adapting Kubernetes for AI, or is AI fundamentally changing how we orchestrate?
Join our expert panel as they tackle this topic, moderated by Guilhem Lettron.
Real production stories. No slides, just honest conversation about what's actually working.

Agentic Software Engineering – Develop more efficiently with AI
A practical tour of how agentic AI changes the way we build software. We move from chat and autocomplete to fully agentic coding workflows and look at the tools, models and strategies that let engineers develop, build and ship faster while staying in control. Live demos show agents planning, reasoning and executing real coding tasks – where they shine, and where they still baffle us.
Presented at Swiss Software Festival 2026, Basel – Tech Track 3: Artificial Intelligence. ~25 min.
AI-Assisted Coding: A Live Coding Tour
A hands-on, live-coding tour through AI-assisted software and DevOps engineering. We explore AI assistants like Continue and Cline that plug into your editor for chat, autocomplete and agentic workflows, switching between LLM models to use whichever performs best for the task. We automate cumbersome steps such as generating conventional git commits from the command line, and look at running local models in your development workflow.
Presented at Tech Community Japan, Tokyo – March 2025. Slides & code: github.com/wingsuitist/20250322-agentic-engineering-tokyo-talk
AI-Assisted DevSecOps
A practical tour of AI assistants and approaches that boost coding efficiency and streamline build and delivery. Through live demos we explore tools like Continue and Cline – chat, autocomplete and agentic workflows – choosing the best-performing LLM per task, automating tedious steps such as generating conventional git commits, and using local models in a DevSecOps workflow.
Presented at Auckland Kubernetes Meetup (Microsoft NZ) – February 2025. Shared the evening with a Sigstore supply-chain security talk by Caleb Woodbine. Recording: youtube.com/watch?v=bHGRAGRaTiM
Crafting your CI/CD Pipeline and Orchestration
Let's treat CI/CD pipelines and orchestration with the same care and ownership as our software. Instead of chasing a "one size fits all" solution that relieves us from understanding it, we step back to understand, question, craft and grow the pipeline as a real part of the project. Not a set of ready-made answers, but a conversation about best practices and thoughtful approaches to building pipelines that fit your project's needs.
Presented online for Tech Excellence – April 2024. Recording: youtube.com/watch?v=kRBS8F-aiEQ
Intro to CI/CD with Argo CD on Kubernetes
A short, clear and fun live-coding demo of building a pipeline with Argo CD and a GitOps pattern to continuously deploy applications to Kubernetes. We see how simple yet powerful things can be – with a few hints and insights for experienced Kubernetes users, while staying a smooth and welcoming intro for everyone new to the field.
Presented at Auckland Kubernetes Meetup (Microsoft NZ) – February 2024. Recording: youtu.be/7dbV2UWUFX0
Intro to Angular 2
An introduction to Angular 2, fresh from its final release. Unlike a view-only library, Angular is a full framework for building single-page applications. We look at the component model – a directory per component bundling template, styles and tests – the opinionated CLI, and how Angular keeps dynamic views in sync with your data by extending the HTML vocabulary.
Presented at basel.js / Angular Basel meetup, Basel – October 2016.
