For more than 20 years, Jonathan managed his own boutique law firm focused on restructuring and reorganization matters. He directly led the firm's operations while maintaining an active and voluminous caseload, working closely with clients, interested parties, other professionals, and court institutions through reorganizations and court-supervised proceedings. Running a specialized firm for two decades required considerable operational oversight, astuteness in client advisory work, leadership, and matter-level strategy, and the experience strengthened his skills as both a practitioner and an organizational leader in the restructuring field.

Working in either a legal or an advisory capacity, Jonathan Pasternak has established mutually favorable relationships with companies, lenders, investors, fiduciaries, and other professionals. In commercial real estate, distressed debt, and corporate finance, he has often been called on to negotiate between multiple stakeholder groups, conduct detailed financial reviews, and carefully navigate court procedure.
