Dr. Jonell Molina brings 20+ years of quality, depth, and breadth as a youth developer and educational leader navigating the institutional terrains and systems in supporting youth, families, and communities in San Francisco. Her currently is a Program Officer in the Community Investments Team for the San Francisco Arts Commission. As a former the High School Services Director at the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF)-Tenderloin Clubhouse he focused on support services and resources of Academic Success, Job Readiness w/Earning Potential, Good Character & Community Engagement, & Healthy Lifestyles to thrive as a young adult; community collaborations centering visibility and inclusion of youth leadership, action, and experience. As a former Case Manager at the Southeast Asian Development Center he specialized in Behavioral & Mental Health, and Juvenile Justice services and resources to youth and families in the community. As an experienced Ethnic Studies teacher in the Pin@y Educational Partnerships (PEP) his critical pedagogical praxis and community responsiveness empowered narrative experiences BIPOC?LGBTQI+/Vulnerable Populations in the exploration of their culture, identity, talents, skills, and passions in the process.

Jonell is a triple crown alumnus from San Francisco State University earning his B.A. (04’), MA (08’), and Ed.D (20’). His research is centered in Culturally Responsive Mentorship in and examines the influence and impact of providing quality guidance, support, and access to resources, services, and opportunities for community stakeholders. Jonell currently serves on San Francisco State University’s Responsive Education for Access, Community, and Hope (REACH) program Advisory Council and Dr. Gwen Angelica Agustin-Nodora Scholarshp Committee.
