Actions
I have been working in Software development since 1998, either as a developer, team manager, tech lead, Product Owner, and CTO. Currently I am focused on software architecture, with no organisational responsibilities. My current interests lay on decoupled architectures, like micro-services, without excluding an operational point of view. I have been working with DDD for 4 years, mainly with PHP.

"The fallacy of global state reconstruction from event storage"
We are used to believing that Entity states are potentially reconstructed from a time-sorted event storage via rewind and replay operations of events. For what extend is that true, if any? My talk intent is to set the ground for an open discussion around several example scenarios, as well as to present some suggestions of my own around how to achieve this.
Barcelona Software Architecture Meetup
A 3-talks event around Software architecture.
My piece was "Deconstructing the monolith: lessons learned", and was about microservices implementation, with my personal experience in two different projects which goal was to deconstruct a monolith in separated microservices.
My talk starts at minute 31.

"Deconstructing the monolith"
My talk explains the pitfalls, tradeoffs, and unexpected consequences at all levels of a real implementation of a decoupled architecture of micro-services resulting of the deconstruction of a previous monolith. Specifically, it explores uuids decorated with prefixes to bring semantically loaded urls.
