Joseph Oliveros leads the Innovation and Information Management for Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and based in Geneva, Switzerland. In this role, he works with National Societies in scaling up humanitarian cash assistance utilizing innovative, safe, secure, and responsible use of data and digital technologies. He is also the technical lead for the Dignified Identities in Cash Assistance (DIGID) project, which is being done with a consortium of NGOs (Norwegian Red Cross, Norwegian Refugee Council, Norwegian Church Aid, and Save the Children Norway). The project aims to understand the opportunities and risks of digital ID technology for humanitarian assistance such as CVA and look at contexts such as migration.
