Joyce A. Debrah is a 25-year career educator who has served as a leader in numerous capacities: teacher, professional development provider, conference organizer, district manager, and assistant principal. Joyce was instrumental in supporting 42 elementary and high schools representing nearly 21,000 students within Chicago's Englewood and Auburn Gresham communities as they implemented SEL strategies and supports. As the manager of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for the third-largest school district in the nation, Joyce ensured that over 600 schools implemented a framework that provided the foundation for equitable resource distribution of support for more than 300,000 students. Under her leadership, schools reduced the number of students enrolled in summer school by 51.4%. She facilitated the district launch of a platform to streamline and improve MTSS implementation.
