MCP plus business logic is a super power
MCP is shiny and new. Formulize is a 20 year old, open source, data management system. We added an MCP server to this old school PHP code. Let me show you how, and the lessons learned, from crafting tools that AI can understand, to super robust error reporting. But the real secret sauce was giving AI access to the business logic. The end result: a free, open source, AI-enabled data management platform, where any app you make is AI-enabled too!
A better fluxcapacitor will not make clients happy
If you're a tech person talking to clients, stop talking about technology. Start listening to people, figure out what they need, and make them happy. I guarantee you, a better fluxcapacitor will not make them happy, even if they need one. I spent 10+ years selling IT services as a principal at a small consultancy. Before that, I went to Journalism school. Let me tell you my best interview tips, people tips, and how and why you make clients happy.
