Dr. Justin Ellis is the Program Manager for Operational Strategy and Impact Analysis at the University of Georgia's Office of Sustainability within the Facilities Management Division (FMD). In this role, he leverages data analytics to guide UGA’s strategic vision and optimize operational strategies for sustainability. He leads the Office’s Clean Energy and Climate Solutions program, chairs FMD’s Fleet Electrification Workgroup, and organizes the FMD Data Leadership Initiative. In 2025, he co-founded the Campus Energy and Resiliency Group (CERG), fostering statewide collaboration that enables University System of Georgia institutions to share strategies and advance energy management and savings initiatives. He also chairs CERG’s Energy Targets and Data Reporting Standardization Sub-Committee. As a restoration ecologist and GIS specialist with over two decades of experience, Dr. Ellis has a proven track record in using data analysis and modeling to plan, implement, and achieve operations and sustainability targets.
