Kalyan Inturi is a seasoned Principal Software Engineer and technical leader with extensive experience in architecting and scaling distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and developer platforms. His career spans across SaaS startups, enterprise technology firms, and fintech organizations, where he has consistently demonstrated expertise in designing resilient systems and leading complex technical transformations.
At Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Kalyan serves as a Principal Software Engineer and Tech Lead, focusing on stabilizing critical frameworks and driving large-scale system reliability initiatives. He has led efforts to refactor core scheduling components, establish proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms, and guide long-term architecture strategies that enhance operational stability. His leadership in the Compute Repair initiative has contributed to a more efficient, non-terminating repair model that improves customer experience and reduces operational overhead.
Previously at Clari, Kalyan played a pivotal role in transforming the company’s technical foundation by leading the zero-downtime migration of its legacy Ruby/Sinatra gateway to a modern API infrastructure built on Kong. His contributions ensured uninterrupted customer experience while enabling scalability, security, and extensibility for future acquisitions. He also spearheaded the design and rollout of Clari’s unified identity and authentication platform, enabling seamless single sign-on across multiple acquired products. These initiatives strengthened product integration and enhanced user experience across the company’s expanding ecosystem.
Earlier in his career, Kalyan was part of SWIFT, where he contributed to building the organization’s first developer platform, which revolutionized how banks and financial institutions securely consumed APIs. His work in deploying and managing API gateways, enforcing multi-layered security, and developing developer tools and SDKs played a key role in SWIFT’s digital transformation. Prior to that, he contributed to Freddie Mac’s modernization efforts by developing microservices-based platforms to support loan management workflows.
Kalyan holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bridgeport and a Bachelor’s degree in Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada.
