Karthik Marupeddi is a Senior Software Engineer at TIGA, The Integration Group of Americas, in Fort Bend County, Texas. With over 10 years of experience in the software development industry, he has played a crucial role in advancing TIGA's work to improve operational efficiency, safety, and reliability in various industrial sectors. He has focused on creating software solutions that streamline complex processes in oil, gas, and energy industries.

Originally from India, Marupeddi moved to the United States 15 years ago to pursue his higher education. After completing his Master’s degree, he began his professional journey in software engineering, where his technical skills quickly became apparent. Over the years, he has worked on various projects that have sharpened his ability to design and implement solutions that meet the needs of businesses in high-demand industries.

Marupeddi joined TIGA in 2019, where he was tasked with developing IOps, a software system designed to integrate SCADA systems and optimize the management of oil and gas assets. This platform enables users to monitor and control assets remotely, improving efficiency and minimizing downtime. Additionally, he worked on Messenger+, a platform designed to help businesses forecast scheduling, capacity, and location challenges by analyzing customer data. His focus on creating user-friendly interfaces using technologies such as Angular, Typescript, HTML, and CSS has played a key role in ensuring these platforms are practical and intuitive.

Before TIGA, Marupeddi worked as a software developer at Verizon Business in Richardson, Texas. He developed web-based applications at Verizon that allowed clients to manage their Verizon services efficiently. One significant project he contributed to was E-Bonding, a platform that allowed Verizon’s business customers to generate orders, handle trouble tickets, and manage inventory. His role in the project involved developing web services and ensuring seamless data integration between systems, which helped improve operational workflows and overall customer service.

After Verizon, Marupeddi moved to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, where he worked as a Java Developer. While there, he worked on several critical state applications, including IBES, e-Verify, and Idalink. These applications determined eligibility for government assistance programs like food stamps and Medicaid. He helped enhance the functionality and performance of these applications, ensuring that they could efficiently process and exchange data across state departments.

Marupeddi then worked as a Software Engineer at ABB in Sugarland, Texas. At ABB, he contributed to developing the nMarket Suite, a platform used in the energy sector for managing transactions, scheduling, and reporting. His work with ABB helped energy companies improve their operations by providing them the tools to manage transactions and reporting processes more effectively.

Marupeddi holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Science Engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he received a full tuition scholarship and stipend. He also earned a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad, India. To keep up with the latest trends in the software industry, he has earned certifications in Angular 2 and Scrum Product Ownership, enhancing his skill set and ensuring he stays at the forefront of modern software development practices.

Outside of work, Marupeddi enjoys spending time with his family. He is married to Sravani Rampay, and they have two sons, Eeshan and Ayaan. The family is actively involved in their local community, particularly by participating in the Shirdi Sai Jalaram Mandir, where they donate meals to needy people. He is also passionate about sports, especially badminton, and follows football and basketball closely. He supports the Green Bay Packers in the NFL and the Houston Rockets in the NBA. Additionally, he enjoys keeping up with the Indian national cricket team.
