Katz currently works as the Chief Communications Officer at concrete5 Japan, Inc. to spread the word of concrete5 CMS, a free open source contents management system.
He is helping a number of Japanese corporations to runs their website and web services.
Since 2016, he started organizing Mautic Meetup Nagoya, then MautiCamp, then now known as Web Marketing Meetup Nagoya.
He loves open source. He even met his wife through WordPress meetup, therefore, open source is literally "his family."
He has organized or helped organized over hundreds of open source and tech meetups and over dozens of open source conferences of concrete5, WordPress, CoderDojo, and AWS over the last decades.
He is graduated from California State University, Long Beach major in Film and Electronic Arts. Then, He actually worked as an indie filmmakers for a several projects, later worked for a couple magazines, where he had to start managing website with CMS.
