Ken is a Java Champion who retired from the classroom after 31 years teaching software development at Dawson College, 25 of those years as the chair and program coordinator of the Computer Science Technology Program. He is currently a Research Scholar in Residence at the college. He is the lead organizer of the annual JChampions Conference, held online each January. He is the author of two books, Transitioning to Java and the soon to be published Programming with Java. He has spoken at numerous conferences where his presentations have focused on simplicity. Currently he is examining how AI can be used in introductory courses in programming.
