Born in Cameroon in the North West Region, studied computers and communications Engineering. Worked with startups and founded a startup called wandaguides which was "Connecting Tourists to travel Agencies". My early tech career was built more in learning by doing. While at the University, I obtained my very first web development contract and I began focusing more on web programming and built my career around it until today. Because of my love for startups I moved into a community manager role at ActivSpaces (https://www.activspaces.com/) where I helped to create entrepreneurial-focused events and raise awareness of the space for interested startups.
I worked with other community leaders and encouraged building tech communities around very specific web technologies to increase skill sets and bolster tech development locally. I stablished three successful hyper-focused communities, including JavaScript and WordPress hubs. They started to place students into internships with developing tech startups in the community. Students acquired more transferrable skills this way than they ever did in the education system.
I then had the opportunity to move to the United States and I currently work as a Drupal Developer for Simpson College in Iowa.
