Ken Termini, distinguished for his significant contributions to the pharmaceutical industry and his success as a high school basketball coach, has shifted his focus towards empowering college student leaders to excel in entry-level job interviews.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Penn State University in 1987, Ken embarked on his career at Revlon. Two years later, he transitioned to Forest Pharmaceuticals, marking the beginning of a 27-year journey in the pharmaceutical sector. Here, he navigated complex healthcare landscapes and rapidly advanced through various sales and management positions. His remarkable performance earned him the company's top three sales awards: Rookie of the Year, Representative of the Year, and Sales Manager of the Year.

In 2002, Ken's career took a pivotal turn when he was promoted to head the State Government Affairs Department at the corporate office of Forest Pharmaceuticals. His trajectory continued upward as he assumed leadership of the Federal Public Policy & Government Affairs department at Forest Laboratories during the crucial implementation phase of the Affordable Care Act. He concluded his pharmaceutical career as an Anti-Infective Hospital Specialist at Forest Laboratories (now Allergan), focusing on infectious disease and hospital-based IV antibiotics.

From a young age, Ken was determined to retire by 50, a goal he achieved through meticulous planning and disciplined execution of his financial strategy. At 19, he was advised to divide his life into thirds: a phase for learning, a phase for working and providing, and a phase for enjoying the rewards of his efforts. He adhered to this blueprint, ensuring his financial stability through careful coordination with trusted advisors and effective management of his investments and tax planning.

Ken's keen interest in real estate also played a crucial role in securing his early retirement. Over two decades, he focused on developing vacation rental properties, participating in projects that included constructing large oceanfront houses and a significant 36-unit oceanfront condominium in the Outer Banks. His deep understanding of property management continues to keep him involved in the Outer Banks non-resident property owner (NRPO) group.

Beyond his professional life, Ken's passion for basketball led him to coach at the high school level. Starting in 1990, he took on coaching roles, notably at Palisades High School and later at Palmerton High School, where he led the Blue Bombers to numerous victories, including a District 11 Class 3A title in 2019. His dedication to the sport also led him to found the Colonial League Boys Basketball Coaches Association, ensuring recognition for talented players.

In addition to basketball, Ken is an avid open-water swimmer. He participates in various challenging events, including the New York City SEAL Swim, a fundraiser for the Navy SEAL Foundation, where participants cover a 3.5-mile route from Liberty State Park to Manhattan. His involvement in open-water swimming spans several locations along the New Jersey Shore and extends to other states, highlighting his commitment to maintaining an active and challenging lifestyle.

Looking ahead, he is focused on enhancing Career Launch Consulting (CLC), a professional development company he established to improve college students' interviewing skills. Recognizing a gap in how young leaders leverage their leadership experiences during job interviews, he offers tailored mentoring and workshops. His plans to expand CLC's offerings aim to integrate essential professional development into organizational training programs, working in collaboration with organizations like Lambda Chi Alpha to prepare students for successful professional lives.

Through his varied career and ongoing community engagement, Ken Termini continues to demonstrate leadership, mentorship, and a commitment to developing the potential of the next generation.
