Keturah Kendrick is an educational consultant who's worked as an SEL specialist, instructional coach and curriculum developer for various non-profit organizations. In her work as an SEL specialist with The Urban Assembly, she served as a thought partner with New York City public schools and district leaders in implementing culturally competent, high quality social-emotional learning within the classroom. She led professional learning communities as well as facilitated workshops with educators and school leaders, coaching them through using data to make informed decisions about SEL programming and support systems for students. In addition to her work with Urban Assembly, Keturah has developed SEL curricula for after school and summer enrichment programs across the nation. She entered the SEL space after a fifteen-year career as an educator, teaching middle and high school students on three different continents. Keturah's passion for the safety of students and devotion to the development of teachers informs her daily practice as a specialist and coach.
