Funding the Future: Open Source Funding at GitHub
The future of open source sustainability and vitality depends on rethinking funding solutions across the ecosystem. GitHub’s commitment to open source funding is enabling developers and funders to unlock new pathways of funds, invest in paradigm shifting technologies, and demonstrating how other companies can help fund open source in order to foster innovation, problem-solving, and diverse communities. However, GitHub efforts alone are not enough and require users and beneficiaries of open source to play a vital role in building a vibrant open source ecosystem.
