My name is Kieran Murphy. I am a Principal Consultant with Thoughtworks, based in Chicago, and I have been an XP practitioner throughout my career.

I’ve been working in software since 2005, as a developer and tech lead. I got my first experience with programming as a kid in the 80’s, exploring BASIC on TRS-80 computers. Professionally I’ve been primarily an application developer and solution architect.

In recent years I’ve been focussed on coaching, enablement, and learning and development work. I have also been teaching 100 and 200 level CS courses at Loyola University Chicago since 2021.
