Kim Faks (pronouns: she/her) grew up in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon. Kim attended Oregon State University and received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Upon completing her degree, Kim worked as an Advertising and Marketing manager at a technology furniture company with national and international sales. After a decade of working in B2B and B2C manufacturing and sales, she transitioned to a role in school administration for a private, PreK-12th grade school supporting students in lower socio-economic, first gen, religious, and cultural identities. In addition to a position within the school management team, she served in a leadership capacity during the construction and design of the adjacent community center and resulting large scale event hosting. Now at Oregon Institute of Technology for the past five years, Kim continually strives to be a creative and proactive student advocate with a passion for holistic student support, leadership development, and building a positive and dynamic campus community. She currently serves as Assistant Director for Student Involvement and Belonging.
