Klaus Knopper holds a masters degree in electrical engineering and is a passionate developer for open source hard- and software including Linux-based operating systems and applications. In his main job he is vice president for digitalization and professor in business informatics with focus on software engineering and information security at the university of applied sciences Kaiserslautern/Germany.

Klaus Knopper ist als Dipl.-Ing. Elektrotechnik leidenschaftlicher Entwickler für Hard- und Software im Bereich Linux/Open Source Betriebssysteme und Anwendungen. Hauptberuflich ist er Professor für Wirtschaftsinformatik im Fachbereich Betriebswirtschaft mit den Schwerpunkten Software Engineering und IT Sicherheit, sowie Vizepräsident für Digitalisierung an der Hochschule Kaiserslautern.
