Krishna Chaitanya Saride is a Senior Software Engineer with more than 20 years of experience in software development, product innovation, and technical leadership. His work spans payment systems, retail systems, and spatial computing, with a focus on designing and delivering high-performance, scalable distributed platforms.
Krishna helped architect and deliver an enterprise payments gateway capable of handling up to 1 million transactions a minute with only 20 ms of processing overhead. The platform reduced dependence on third-party payment processors. He led the platform's evolution from a modular monolith to a microservices architecture, designing service discovery, a client-side load-balancing library, a health-aware intra-service TCP protocol, and rolling-deployment playbooks that upgrade services without losing in-flight traffic.
He also built a cloud-native buy-now-pay-later repayment processor, redesigning its authentication, authorization, service discovery, health check, and observability stack using Istio and Temporal.io. His other contributions include a distributed configuration management service for instance-level A/B testing, a compliance framework for card network CIT/MIT mandates, and EMV "Chip and Pin" payment integration for retail devices deployed globally.
In his current role, Krishna leads the technical direction of a shared developer platform that engineering teams build their services on. The platform provides security, API management, traffic and integration, and observability as ready-made capabilities. Teams get consistent security and reliability from the platform instead of rebuilding them for each service. He decides which problems the platform solves centrally, defines the standards teams follow, and leads the cross-functional work that delivers these capabilities. He also drives performance, power, and thermal optimization for real-time 3D video telephony on an AR/VR spatial computing platform. That work includes defining performance KPIs, automating energy-regression analysis, and building experiences that adapt to thermal pressure.
Krishna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and is a Sun Certified Java Programmer. In 2025 he was the sole author of four journal articles. They cover high availability and fault tolerance in distributed financial systems, AI and machine learning in payment systems, the ethics of AI-driven financial systems, and AI-driven thermal management in wearable technology. He was a peer reviewer for five international conferences in 2025, including as a Program Committee Member for ICDSA 2025.
