Kristine Mae Adlaon is a research faculty from the University of the Immaculate Conception and a PhD Candidate of Computer Science at De La Salle University - Manila with research interest in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning. She is the project leader of government-funded projects, namely, Project iWag, a project that developed a Neural Machine Translation System for Filipino and Cebuano, and Project MinNa, which aims to establish the NLP research and development laboratory in Mindanao. She has presented and published her research works at international and local conferences and journals. Besides her research endeavors, she is also actively involved in community works that empower women in computing and technology. She was granted the Women TechMaker scholarship by Google in 2017. She is also a board member of the Computing Society of the Philippines Special Interest Group in Women in Computing, a volunteer of GDG Manila (2017-2018) and GDG Davao (2020-2021).
