Krystal Flores
Software Engineer and Human Router
Actions
Krystal is active in both the women in tech and Latinx communities. She gives talks because she wants to serve as voice for those who are not usually represented in conference talks. She believes that the more you see, the more there will be. She also tries to take difficult topics and make them manageable. Although it may seem that the barrier to entry is high in computer programming, she wants everyone to know that it begins with one small step forward.
Besides giving technical talks, Krystal spoke on “Applying Sheryl Sandberg’s Lean In principles in technology” as part of the Visionary Voices program at MicroStrategy World 2018. In 2019 she participated in Hired.com’s #NothingLess Micro Documentary.
Krystal is a Software Engineer at Simple Habit, attempting a MERN approach to helping others live better every day. Krystal holds, unrelated and unhelpful to her day to day job, a BA in History from Yale University.
