Katherine Chung has over 20 years of diverse music teaching experience in Hong Kong and the U.S., from kindergarten to undergraduate, including piano repertoire, music theory, group piano, school band, choirs, and general music classes. She is a doctoral student in Educational Leadership and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL), researching the critical needs of effective instrumental music teaching to improve students' social and emotional competencies. Katherine is a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. And she serves as the Chair of Piano for the Louisiana Music Teacher Association and the event coordinator for the Music Teacher National Association ULL Collegiate Chapter. Before she came to the U.S. in 2019, she was an executive director of a non-profit organization in Hong Kong, Good Hope Singers Limited, for over four years. Katherine holds a Master of Music from ULL and an LTCL Diploma from Trinity College London.
