Mrs. Henderson has been a social worker since 1992 and worked in several different settings. Since 2002, she has worked for Cleveland County Schools as a mental health clinician and school social worker. Mrs. Henderson was selected to be a part of the CCS Internal Diversity and Inclusion team where they focused on county wide initiatives to increase cultural awareness with both staff and students. She has played an integral role in the implementation of SEL at her elementary school. Mrs. Henderson, Ms. Stimpson, and Ms. Sosa developed and implemented the Mirrors and Windows Children's Book Club where staff were given the opportunity to read and discuss children's literature that focused on race, racism, Hispanic heritage, and immigration. Mrs. Henderson's passion is to help every child she encounters see their potential for excellence. She strives to instill this same passion in educators.
