Larisa Akrofie is Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Levers in Heels – Africa’s leading online community championing African women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Launched in 2013, Levers in Heels has highlighted and showcased the work of over 100 women in STEM across the African continent. It has also implemented wide-ranging mentorship & outreach programs and partnerships that aim to inspire the next generation of leading African women in STEM.
Larisa has a demonstrated history of managing and implementing a portfolio of projects, programs, and partnerships in the areas of education, enterprise and skills development, and has worked with international organizations such as the British Council, and the Mastercard Foundation – where she currently works to develop and co-create education and skills programs for Ghana, in alignment with its Young Africa Works strategy.
In 2018, Larisa was listed as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Young Ghanaians by Avance Media.
