Lars Bergmann is Director Business Development for the Business Unit Smart CMOS & SOI at X-FAB GLOBAL SERVICE GmbH. He holds a Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology with a focus on Microelectronics from the University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden, Germany (2006).
He joined X-FAB Semiconductor Foundries AG in 2006, where he built deep expertise in low-voltage and high-voltage ESD protection, I/O libraries, application-specific ESD concepts, and full-chip ESD simulations. In 2015, he was promoted to Principal Design Support Engineer and assumed leadership of the ESD support team.
From 2020 to 2025, Lars served as Director of Design Support at X-FAB GLOBAL SERVICE GmbH, overseeing global design enablement, including PDKs, design IP (analog foundation IP, standard cells, I/O, and memory compilers), design flows, reference kits, and customer design support.
Since 2026, he is actively engaged in Business Development for Smart CMOS & SOI, driving strategic customer engagement and growth initiatives.
His technical interests include advanced ESD protection devices and circuit simulation. Outside of work, he enjoys long-distance running and cycling.
