Laura da Silva has had a distinguished academic career with a degree in Mathematics and a PhD in HPC at the University of Almeria. Now, she is the CEO of Da Silva Advanced Analytics and the founder of Inspiring Women in Data Science, a community group to motivate other women to up-skill themselves and jump into the Data Science world. Laura was recently awarded by Microsoft with the prestigious MVP in AI. In previous roles, she was delivering Data Science solutions to many clients and managed several teams of data scientists following the CRISP-DM cycle and Agile methodologies. She is interested in the application of Time Series Analysis, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning and Geospatial Analysis to solve real life problems where Data Science can make a difference, but also in new techniques of Data Science team building and collaboration.
