Born in Dorchester and raised in Marshfield, Massachusetts, Lee developed a strong sense of discipline early in life. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as a toddler, he learned the importance of structure and precision. His passion for finance began when he used his paper route savings to buy his first mutual fund. He went on to earn dual bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2004.

Lee Michael Generous began his professional journey at Fidelity Investments in Boston, gaining broad experience in pricing, cash management, and family office services. He later became a Relationship Manager, serving high-net-worth clients and developing long-term financial strategies. In 2015, he joined an LPL advisory firm in Braintree, Massachusetts, where he managed a large client base and helped double the firm’s assets through disciplined, client-centered planning.

In 2021, Lee founded Generous Wealth Management, turning his vision of a family office-style practice into reality. The firm offers clients personalized and proactive guidance to simplify their financial lives. Alongside traditional wealth management, Lee specializes in advising cannabis and hemp businesses as a Dope CFO-certified advisor and serves on the National Cannabis Industry Association’s Banking and Finance Committee.
