Liora Itkin is a Senior Security Researcher at CardinalOps with expertise in threat detection, detection engineering, and cybersecurity research across cloud security, AI security, and attack simulations.

She researches attacker techniques, simulates real-world attacks, and performs deep log analysis to design and validate detections. Her experience includes developing detection strategies at Palo Alto Networks, leading incident response and security automation at CyberProof, and contributing research cited by MITRE.

Liora began her cybersecurity career in the Israeli Intelligence Corps, where she led DFIR, Threat Hunting, and SOC teams as a Captain. She is passionate about advancing detection capabilities, improving security visibility, and sharing knowledge with the cybersecurity community.
