Lisa Sims is an Assistant Professor in the Business Information Systems program and Web & Mobile App Emphasis at the University of Arizona Global Campus, where she also serves as Lead Faculty Advisor for the Women in STEM Club. She brings more than seventeen years of experience teaching web development, software development, and information technology courses across seven online universities.
Before and alongside her work in higher education, Lisa built a career spanning more than twenty years in information technology across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Her professional experience includes roles such as Programmer/Analyst, Web and Database Developer, and Webmaster, as well as consulting work with organizations including AT&T, UPS, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Lisa is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration in Information Systems at Liberty University and was inducted into the Omega Nu Lambda National Honor Society in recognition of her doctoral academic achievement. She is also the author of eight books and the creator and host of the Stretching A Dollar For Entrepreneurs podcast, where she shares practical strategies to help entrepreneurs grow and promote their businesses while making the most of their resources.
