Liv Birnstad is a Freshman at Harvard University and served two terms on the D.C. State Board of Education. Within the State Board, Liv sat on the Education Standards Committee, was a co-chair on the Student Advisory Committee, and was a leading figure in the Board's bylaw revision process. Outside of her time on the board, Liv was a member of her schools Queer and Trans Student Alliance which hosts and creates annual school-wide professional development sessions for teachers and staff. Liv is an award-winning debater and coaches middle and high school students in the fundamental skills of debate, international relations, and fiscal redistribution.
