Passionate about bridging physical engineering with intelligent systems, Lorenzo Lagna is currently pursuing his Master's in Mechanical Engineering and Automation. His recent 6-month experience in Xi'an, China, sparked a deep dive into using AI for additive manufacturing. Driven by this challenge, Lorenzo is returning to China to research the "domain shift" problem in AI models for his thesis under the guidance of Prof. Xiang Li. A former basketball player turned rower and avid skier, Lorenzo brings the same dedication and drive from sports into solving complex engineering problems.
