**Present**
Lorenzo Solano is a software development team lead, trainer and coach in the adoption of
agile methodologies in IT areas as well as in other organizations areas. He is a certified instructor from the
Scrum Alliance and has several certifications oriented to agile project management. In 2017 obtained
the highest deficiencies of his cohort in the master's degree in Project Management at the Université du Québec in
Outaouais (UQO UNAPEC campus). In addition, he is PMI-ACP certified.

He has accompanied teams in the adoption of agile project management methodologies in companies of
telecommunications, banking and software factories.

He also works as a professor at the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC), one of the
most recognized universities in the training of professionals in the areas of engineering, medicine and science.

He graduated with honors from the Universidad Acción Pro-Educación y Cultura (UNAPEC) with the title of Engineer in

** Career **
Since 2005 he has been inserted in the software development industry, reaching the level of Developer.
Senior and then goes on to manage software development teams.

In 2011 he formally presented himself in project management using agile methodologies by obtaining the
Certified Scrum Developer accreditation from the Scrum Alliance. After that start he begins a journey of
self-training, discussions with colleagues and other practitioners of agile methodologies; this with the aim of
share, validate ideas and increase their knowledge and skills. Between 2012 and 2013 he organizes a
series of events called Kodisto Dojos with the aim of bringing together the community of practitioners, sharing
ideas and put them into practice.

At that time he also began his practice as a coach helping teams in the implementation of the
software engineering practices needed to support agile methodologies. I help different
teams to implement test automation, source version control, continuous integration between
other practices.

He then obtains his accreditation as an instructor from the Scrum Alliance (Registered Education Provider), in
collaboration with Aloes PMS, becoming the first, and only to date, accredited instructor to teach
the Certified Scrum Developer certification in the country.

Lorenzo Solano es un líder de equipos de desarrollo de software, trainer y coach en la adopción de
metodologías ágiles en áreas de TI así como en otras áreas de las organizaciones. Es instructor certificado de la
Scrum Alliance y cuenta con varias certificaciones orientadas a la gestión de proyectos ágiles. En el 2017 obtuvo
las más altas calificaciones de su cohorte en la maestría de Gestión de Proyectos de la Université du Québec en
Outaouais (UQO recinto UNAPEC). Además, cuenta con la certificación PMI-ACP.

Ha acompañado equipos en la adopción de metodologías de gestión de proyectos ágiles en empresas de

** Carrera profesional **
Desde el 2005 se inserta en la industria del desarrollo de software llegando a obtener el nivel de Desarrollador
Senior y luego pasa a gestionar equipos de desarrollo de software.

En el 2011 se introduce, formalmente, en la gestión de proyectos utilizando metodologías ágiles al obtener la
acreditación Certified Scrum Developer de la Scrum Alliance. Luego de ese inicio comienza un viaje de
auto-formación, discusiones con colegas y otros practicantes de metodologías agiles; esto con el objetivo de
compartir, validar las ideas e incrementar sus conocimientos y habilidades. Entre 2012 y 2013 organiza una
serie de eventos llamados Kodisto Dojos con el objetivo de reunir a la comunidad de practicantes, compartir
ideas y ponerlas en práctica.

Para esa época inicia también su práctica como coach ayudando a equipos en la implementación de las
prácticas de ingeniería de software necesarias para soportar las metodologías agiles. Ayudo a diferentes
equipos a implementar automatización de pruebas, control de versiones de fuentes, integración continua entre
otras prácticas.

Luego obtiene su acreditación como instructor de la Scrum Alliance (Registered Educacion Provider), en
colaboración con Aloes PMS, convirtiéndose en el primer, y único a la fecha, instructor acreditado para impartir
la certificación Certified Scrum Developer en el país.
