Adv. Lufuno T Khorommbi is Cyber Law Professional and an award-winning thought leader with over two decades of experience working in a multi-disciplinary Cyber Law space, delivering thought leadership in IT related matters. She is a recognised thought leader in cybersecurity, distinguished for multidisciplinary competence, experienced in cyberlaw, and a specialist in ICT contract management who founded Orizur Consulting Enterprise in 2017.
Prior to establishing the Cyberlaw Consultancy, Orizur Consulting Enterprise, Adv. Lufuno T was a former public servant who worked in different portfolios; from navigating the regulatory environment to supply chain and procurement to contract management; and was very instrumental in the development of various public sector ICT related policies. She became the first public servant to successfully spearhead the development and implementation of the pioneered sourcing strategy for ICT procurement, which incorporated cyber security and advocated for the green IT environment.
Adv. Lufuno T has set herself apart as a thought leader and is a recognised multidisciplinary cyberlaw professional who has been awarded with the ICT Transformation Award: Women in ICT by the Black IT Forum in collaboration with the then Department of Communications for her outstanding thought leadership in the public sector procurement and ICT regulatory compliance in 2016. She was also a finalist in the All About Public Procurement (AAPP) Awards in the Professional of the Year Award category, 2016.; and recognized in 2011 for outstanding support to the Government IT Officers’ Council (GITOC).
Moreover, she was nominated for the Digital Woman Special Award and the Governance Award, GovTech 2022. She was listed in the Top 20 Cybersecurity Personalities in Africa, Ciberobs 2021, recognised in the Top 50 Women in Cybersecurity, Cyber in Africa 2020. She has also received an award for the Woman Data Privacy and Legal Professional of the Year: by The African Women in Security Network (AWISN) 2020; and is featured in the African Women in Cyber Security Book, published in 2019.
