Born and raised in South Africa, Luyanda came to the United States with the mission of leveraging ML and AI to create products that would have a global impact. Having interned at Microsoft and Tesla as a Machine Learning Engineering Intern and Technical Progam Manager Intern, along with his experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at Voytek Labs, poster presenter at the national Society for Neuroscience's Conference in 2018, and awardee of the Generation Google Scholarship in 2019, he has begun to establish himself as a potential leader in the field. He has also had a successful hackathon career, having participated and won multiple events all over the world across disciplines such as healthcare, city development and telecommunication.

Hoping to build off his great three years, Luyanda looks to continue developing his skills and working towards having a global impact through his passion for tech.
