Maddy Montaquila (formerly Leger) is a Senior Product Manager at Microsoft and the product lead for Aspire. She’s been building dev tools at Microsoft since 2018 - before Aspire, she worked across the .NET stack and brought .NET MAUI to life. Maddy has been obsessed with making developers’ lives easier ever since her first dev tools internship, where she realized it perfectly combined her tech background with her passion for product development.
These days, she’s focused on making modern distributed app development suck a whole lot less. Maddy’s an experienced speaker who’s presented everywhere from local user groups to major keynotes, known for bringing great energy and a genuine love for dev tools to every talk.

Deploying with Aspire to any cloud
Aspire is known for how well it streamlines local dev for any type of app, but our deployment story has been improving every release - and Maddy is here to break it down for you. Use the same AppHost you have for local dev to deploy test sandboxes, to staging envs, or inside your custom and complex pipelines to production. Extend Aspire's built in deployment tooling with your own custom steps, defined in code and easily traceable, debuggable, and repeatable. Aspire gives you deployment integrations for popular cloud providers, or even build your own to deploy on-prem or to complex cloud scenarios! Join Maddy Montaquila, Aspire lead PM, to learn about all the different ways Aspire can help streamline your dev AND deployment.
BYOAI - Build your own... Aspire Integration?!
One of the top questions the Aspire team gets is - "but what if I use (insert x framework/language/build tool/niche internal platform here)". Great news! Building Aspire integrations is so simple, even Maddy, Aspire PM, can do it, and she barely knows how to write code anymore. In this lightning talk, Maddy will break down the primitives of Aspire integrations, and show you some quick and easy ways to create repeatable, centralized dev workflows for your entire team - or company!
AI = Aspire Intelligence: Use Agents to Build Agents
Everyone’s being asked to build agents, but the ecosystem is changing constantly and development feels like trial-and-error. Once things are finally working, getting from dev to deployment introduces a whole new set of hard-to-debug issues. Aspire brings order to that process. It lets you clone, run, and debug full-stack, multi-language apps without wrestling with model deployments, custom scripts, or scattered env files. Everything is defined in type-safe, source-controlled code instead of YAML, and you can deploy without changing a line of application code.
Aspire also gives your coding agent a safe, structured way to work with your entire app — no more copy-pasting logs, running pieces of the app in isolation, or worrying about runaway cloud costs. Join Maddy Montaquila and Tommaso Stocchi from Microsoft for a practical look at how Aspire helps you build real agentic apps, with help from your own AI agent.
Introducing Aspire - a dev-first toolkit for your entire stack
Modern frontend teams don’t just build UIs—they orchestrate APIs, databases, and cloud-native services. But the local dev loop is messy.
Aspire changes that. It’s a dev-first toolkit that spins up your entire app—frontend, backend, and dependencies—with a built-in dashboard for logs, health checks, and traces. And if you aren't already using Open Telemetry, Aspire knows how to turn it on for your whole stack.
No replatforming, no YAML, and no cloud required. Just "aspire run" to start everything from your frontend to your custom containers - no matter the language.
Come see how Aspire streamlines your stack and bring sanity back to local development.
It's not your dad's .NET anymore
.NET is feeling 22! Since 2002, .NET has grown into the most performant and flexible platform for building any type of app for any device. Target mobile/desktop with .NET MAUI, the web with ASP.NET and Blazor, and even orchestrate your cloud native development and deployment with .NET Aspire. .NET 8 was the biggest and best .NET yet - until .NET 9 came out in November!
Join Maddy Montaquila, .NET Senior Product Manager, for a whirlwind tour of some of the cool things you can do with .NET, how it all integrates together, .NET 9 updates/.NET 10 sneak peaks, and maybe even some history lessons on how all this came about!
