Madeline is seasoned tourism and hospitality leader with over a decade of diverse experience across multiple countries. With a unique approach to designing solutions that increase sales, boost brand awareness, and contribute to economic development, Madeline's journey started as an intern in her native Houston TX at Visit Houston, then as a tour guide in Houston and Wellington NZ. She is a graduate of the University of Houston Hilton Conrad program with a BSc in Hospitality, Hotel and Restaurant management, as well as a BSc in Tourism Management from the University of Surrey in the UK. She's navigated roles as a travel agent working within the airline and cruise industry at Viking Cruises, contributed to hospitality start-ups like Favor, and managed operations in various hotels and restaurants globally. Currently part of the Travel Texas team, Madeline brings infectious enthusiasm for travel and tourism development, with a focus on exploring and promoting the remarkable destinations within her home state. Her track record in building partnerships, leading teams, and driving positive change reflects her earnest belief in the protentional and power of transformation the visitor economy can bring to communities.
